Crucial for Dileep; Judgment today on anticipatory bail in conspiracy case
Kochi: The High Court will give its verdict on the anticipatory bail application
of Dileep and his co-accused in the case of conspiracy to endanger the
investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress at 10.15 am today.
Besides Dileep, Justice P Gopinath today moved the anticipatory bail
applications of brother Anoop, sister's husband TN Suraj, cousin Appu, friend
Baiju Chengamanadu and Sarath The probe team has decided to arrest the accused,
including Dileep, if their anticipatory bail application is rejected. However,
the accused are hoping to get at least conditional bail. If anticipatory bail is
granted, the prosecution will retaliate. Meanwhile, another bench of the Kerala
High Court will hear a petition filed by Dileep seeking cancellation of further
probe into the attack on the actress. Arguments were completed Friday in the
anticipatory bail application. Dileep and others had applied for anticipatory
bail on October 10 in a case registered by the crime branch following the
statement of Dileep's former friend and director Balachandra Kumar. The court
stayed the arrest and directed Dileep and others to appear for questioning for

According to Balachandra Kumar, Dileep and his accomplices conspired to endanger
Cambranch DySP Baiju Paulus, the investigating officer, and DYSP KS Sudarshan,
who was part of the team that arrested Dileep in the case. Balachandrakumar also
handed over the recorded audio recording of the conversations. After realizing
that he was failing in the case of attacking the actress, the prosecution said
that the case was fabricated and that Balachandra Kumar was a false witness and
that the case was fabricated by CI Baiju Paul, Balachandra Kumar and other
